Some of the things we've been debating are the kitchen benchtop colours, splashback tiles and bathroom cabinets. I was keen on white subway tiles with a dark grout for the kitchen splashback, with a dark benchtop BUT since we discovered how ridiculous the upgrade costs for dark essa stone are, we are not sure about this now.Dark tiles and a white benchtop? hmm.....
Another concern we have is with the fridge cavity. With the kitchen upgrade, the space for the fridge is actually reduced, and we are worried that a full-size fridge (we love our food) will stick out into the doorway. Also, since you have to stand in the pantry to open the fridge, the way it opens might be a problem.
We asked at Masters how easy it was to have a fridge ordered with the handle on the RHS, he said only a few brands did this and none were any we wanted. Will bring this up at our Kitchen appointment - we need to add extra shelves too.
