Montague 19; the look

Some pictures of the Montague 19 (and 21) for inspiration. I know when you look at display homes you should try to imagine your own furniture in them, but John and I both love the Berlin style, the colours and furniture are similar to my apartment.

There isn't a window on this wall as standard, which is maybe a good thing because I think it forces the TV to be too low to the ground. Also, on our block, this will be the western wall, and afternoon sun would suck coming through that window.

LOVE LOVE LOVE the yellow glass splashback (an upgrade) but I think it will date. Best to stick with neutrals and add pops of colour with stools (and maybe the lighting pendants?)

The grand alfresco just extends the living space, and if we're clever with the landscaping, will allow us to close off the right-side of the alfresco for privacy. Fingers crossed we don't have a double-storey behind us, however a double-storey to the left of us would be welcomed (to help shade us against the summer sun!)

Clever detail adding a bench to the window. We're paying just $13 to level the window with the benchtop (maybe a tiny lip but better than standard) We'll install the bench later.

Mid-grey walls, darker carpet with black block out blinds.

Saw some really good pendant lighting thingys in Freedom that would look great, but I'm torn between having them here in the kitchen or above our bedside tables...

Full-tiling vs. standard in the ensuite bathroom, still not sure what we'll go with.
Opting for a smaller window allows for a towel rack, but the idea of "smaller window costs more" just irks me. Not going to bother with the shelf in the shower.

Pendants above the bedside table look great. But unfortunately we need a window on the back wall (an estate requirement for our corner block) so I think they will look silly (awkwardly framing the window)

The dark essastone benchtop is going to be so expensive (wahhhh) but we think spending the $$$ on the kitchen will be worth it given it such a central room of our house. We will balance the dark benchtop and tiles with light cabinetry and pops of colour. I have an orange kettle and a red toaster.

Secret pantry! I love this feature. The small window is a cute addition but we want to put our washing line on that wall (and nobody wants to see socks on the line while preparing dinner...)
