At the moment, we are aiming for a blend of warm greys, industrial textures and Scandinavian furniture. These pics just grabbed off my Pinterest board.
With our WOS appointment coming up in a few weeks, we are hoping to have everything decided soon. Unfortunately, we are battling with such questions as "is this too grey?" "what if there's not enough contrast?" and "can we afford a feature wall?"

Trendenser -Dark grey walls against the white woodwork and accessories works so well. Keeps the room light, despite it being such a dark colour
Plants +Love the colour of the walls, the black and white, the fact that this room probably belongs to someone who doesn't have little kids :) Agreed@Christina Im

So while we wait for the call from our building coordinator, J & I have been busy selecting our colours ahead of our WOS appointment. We've visited twice now, but since it's so far away, have been utilising the many PD display homes around Mernda and Craigieburn as references.
Quick mockup made using Photoshop. Monument grey for the feature render and roller door, Sambuca roof tiles, window frames, guttering, etc and Stepney render.

We drove out to Armstrong Creek to see the Abbey facade -- took us over an hour and we persisted through really heavy rainfall -- and were bitterly disappointed. The Abbey facade on the PD website looks the most modern, and was something J & I really liked. However, in reality, the facade looks awkward and cheap (most surprising since it's the most expensive facade!)
So we've settled on the Nuvo, which is more-or-less than Barwon without the roofline extended over the portico. We love how clean it is with square edges. Having 'settled' on pretty much all of the facades so far, who knows if we will change our mind again before reaching contract...
